About Us
Our Story
The Runcible Spoon is an institutional bakery in Nyack, located on a prime corner in the heart of Nyack’s downtown area. Filled with unique charm and history, the Runcible has been in operation for nearly 40 years. Women and Asian-owned for 20 years, it is a true family business – led by mother and daughter team Kim and Hannah.

The Runcible Spoon offers to visitors of the quaint Nyack an airy and open space for hot coffee, freshly baked pastries, brunch, desserts and more. All of our goods baked fresh in-house daily using generational recipes that have withstood the test of time. We offer a mix of classics - flaky croissants, muffins, and more - as well as modern interpretations, inspired by the rich Korean-American culinary experiences shared between mother and daughter duo Kim and Hannah.

We pride ourselves in using the highest quality of ingredients for our pastries, specialty drinks, and food offerings - high grade European butter, Belgian dark chocolate, premium-grade flour, locally-sourced dairy, and more. We do not use any shortening, palm oils, or hydrogenated oils. For us, the details matter and make all the difference in delivering high quality baked goods and food.

Featured prominently in the New York Times, the Runcible Spoon draws in thousands of customers each week – not only local regulars, but also visitors from surrounding counties, cyclists trekking from New York City, as well as travelers from around the country and world in pursuit of our muffins and Morning Buns.
